Travel Must Haves: Style on the Go
If you’re ready to travel again, you may need to rethink your new travel must haves. Consider putting together your travel-sized favorites and leaving them packed. No need to scramble to make sure the shampoo AND conditioner are there. Or to check that your favorite face cream won’t be confiscated by TSA since it’s in the original 5-ounce container.

1) Be Ready:
Keep a set of travel-sized toiletries packed and ready to go. And be TSA-compliant AND eco-friendly by choosing reusable, durable Stasher bags. The waterproof bag with the clip is especially helpful for active travel.
2) Shiny Hair:
Your new favorite shampoo and conditioner come in travel-sized containers. Sure, you can use the hotel shampoo, but it’s nice to have reliable results on the road. And Stream2Sea products are earth- and human-friendly, and created by a female chemist.
3) Tame Fly-Aways:
Even if you have straight hair, climate-controlled planes and hotel rooms can leave it a little scattered. One of your new travel must haves is the shark-free squalane from Stream2Sea. The squalane is an all-in-one wonder: Use it after cleansing and under sunscreen, or to smooth dry ends and flyaways which are almost inevitable with air travel.
4) Clean Teeth:
Dental health is no place for compromise – at home or on the go. And thanks to its thoughtful design, Quip works just as well in both cases. It’s easy to hold, has a built-in timer, the wall holder doubles as a protective cover, and there is no bulky charger or cable to worry about.
5) Clean Teeth, Continued:
Have you ever had a tube of toothpaste explode in your luggage? If you have, you know that even the tiny tubes can pack a surprising amount of (blue, sparkly!) goo. A better choice? Bits from Bite Toothpaste. This sustainably made and packaged product provides all the minty (or fruity or even champagne-y!) goodness, with none of the mess. They also make (tiny) refillable flosses, mouthwash travel packs, and more – travel must haves made easy!

6) Comfy Go-Anywhere Shoes:
Do you have shoes that are comfy enough for the plane and cute enough for shopping or dinner? Do you have shoes that are in just the right color to not scream “tourist” as you stroll through town? Do you have shoes that are sustainably made AND machine washable? I literally LIVE in my Allbirds nearly year-round. They are so comfortable- you would never guess they are made from responsibly sourced eucalyptus fibers. Tree Runners and Tree Breezers are both easy to wear and easy to love – and perfect for travel.
7) A Skirt for (Almost!) Every Occasion:
If you haven’t tried a Ripskirt, your next trip is the time to try one. Lightweight, packs into almost nothing, Ripskirt is available in dozens of pattern and length combinations (for the record, I prefer the 2, with pockets!). Use it for a swim cover up, as originally designed, but also for a walk or low-key hike, a trip to town, or even dress it up for dinner. Even better, save $10 off your first purchase of $50 with this link.
8) Stay Hydrated
Even if water at your destination is safe to drink, it can still need a little something to encourage you to drink enough. Or maybe you are drinking out of water bottles, but still want some coffee or tea? Enter Cusa Tea and Coffee. Add an herbal tea to your water to stay hydrated with no extra calories. Choose coffee or black tea if you want a little pick-me-up. Specially designed to dissolve instantly in either hot or cold water, Cusa is the perfect on-the-go beverage.
9) Stay Sanitized – in Style
It seems hard to imagine a world without hand sanitizer in it now, but I was using Touchland before the lockdowns. I was always asked about it – it looked so nice, smelled great – and, importantly in recent months, is made of mostly isopropyl alcohol. Now I wear a bottle around my neck most days, using the brilliantly designed holder that hooks onto a lanyard. You can do the same.
10) Nail Polish Without the Liquid:
Don’t get hung up at TSA with liquid nail polish! With Color Street nail polish strips you can check in worry-free. And you can do your nails almost anywhere- at the gate, on the plane, even on the white hotel bedspread. (Don’t try that with liquid nail polish!) Click here for currently available styles.
